I am delighted to announce that Professor Joseph F Porac will be joining the Administrative Science Quarterly as an associate editor in January 2000 Joe's outstanding academic credentials, his extremely high standards of scholarship, his personal integrity, and his broad, balanced perspective upon research are only a not many of the many reasons on what account Joe will serve as an of the first grade associate editor. All of us at ASQ are looking forward to working with Joe true much, and I know you share with me in wishing him well in his novel position.

With this happy freshs comes the sad announcement that Joe will be replacing shoot Kramer at the conclusion of Rod's word as associate editor at the finis of this year. Rod will continue to handle those manuscripts he is publicly editing but will not receive any fresh manuscripts after December 31, 1999

In the case of Rod's contributions as an ASQ editor across the last two years, words really do fail to expres the beautiful job that he has done for the journal. Perhaps the word "perfect" best quantity of moneys it up. Rod has been unceasingly committed to serving the requires and interests of the journal and its constituents; he has poured an unbelievable amount of time and effort into each editorial decision he has made; he has maintained the principally rigorous academic standards in evaluating each manuscript he has handled; and he has treated each author's work, whether accepted for publication or not, with tremendous dignity and esteem We shall all miss shoot very, very much.
